Hatching Eggs
Hatching Eggs
When fertility and laying allow, we will offer hatching eggs from selected breeding pens.
Available pairings will be listed here along with as much information as we can provide about the parents, known genetics, expected egg colors, and possible offspring.
Because many of our birds are part of ongoing breeding projects, we cannot guarantee the color, pattern, feather type, sex, or eventual egg color of individual offspring unless specifically stated otherwise.
That’s genetics—and sometimes chickens have their own ideas about our breeding plans.
A Note About Hatch Rates
We take care to collect, handle, store, and package hatching eggs appropriately before they leave us. However, we cannot guarantee hatch rates and are not responsible for eggs that fail to develop or hatch after purchase.
There are simply too many variables outside our control once an egg leaves our care.
Hatch results can be affected by shipping and handling, temperature changes, storage time and position, incubator calibration, humidity, turning, ventilation, power interruptions, altitude, sanitation, individual egg viability, and other factors.
Even properly fertilized eggs do not always develop or hatch.
Purchase of hatching eggs is an acceptance of this natural risk. Hatching eggs are sold as hatching eggs—not as guaranteed chicks.
For shipped eggs in particular, postal handling can significantly affect viability even when the egg arrives externally intact.
We recommend allowing shipped eggs to settle appropriately before incubation and using a reliable, calibrated incubator.
