What’s Coming From the Nesting Box?

Our breeding projects will evolve over time, and we’ll document those generations here.

Some crosses will continue. Some won’t.

We’ll evaluate offspring, watch the eggs produced by each generation, select the birds that best represent what we’re working toward, and make the next pairing from there.

Our long-term projects are centered around developing beautiful egg baskets with shades such as:

Bright Blue • Blue-Green • Green • Olive • Moss • Speckled • Rich Brown • Chocolate • Pink & Purple Blooms

We aren’t interested in pretending that every experimental cross is already a finished “breed.”

Part of what makes breeding chickens so fascinating is seeing what genetics actually produce—and then deciding where to go next.

We’ll share that process along the way.
